Update (04/17): More details have been revealed regarding the Honor 10 in a new report. According to WinFuture, and backed up by renders obtained by the publication (below), the Honor 10 will sport a 5.84-inch LCD display with a front-facing fingerprint sensor on the ‘chin’ bezel and… drumroll, please… a notch at the top.
The report also further suggests that the Honor 10 has an aluminum frame with 2.5D glass covers on both the front and back. The device will reportedly be available in Black, Teal, and a special shade of Blue which switches between blue, purple, and pink shades depending on the viewing angle.
Many of the other specs match-up with the TENAA listings noted in our original post below, but the new report also hints that the Honor 10 has a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack, while the camera suite will offer AI features like those found on the Huawei P20 series, likely powered by the Kirin 970 chipset’s NPU capabilities.
We’ll know for sure in just two days time!
Previous coverage (04/17): Honor is expected to unveil its new flagship, the Honor 10, on May 15 at an event in London. Ahead of the launch, four carrier variants of the upcoming device have popped up on China’s TENAA certification site which appear to reveal some of the specs we’ll be seeing in just under a month’s time.
The four models—COL-AL10, COL-TL10, COL-AL00, and COL-TL00—are all powered by Huawei’s Kirin 970 chipset backed by 4GB or 6GB of RAM, a 3,320mAh battery, and either 64GB or 128GB expandable storage.
We already have a solid overall idea of the design of the Honor 10 thanks to a few leaked images last week. Now, according to the listings, we also know that the phone’s exact dimensions are 149.6 x 71.2 x 7.7mm and that it will weigh in at 153g.
All four certification pages suggest that the Honor 10 will sport a 5.84-inch TFT display with a 2,280 x 1080 resolution, so expect to see another FullView-style display from the Huawei sub-brand.
Previous leaks have also hinted that the Honor 10 will feature a dual-lens 24MP and 16MP camera combo and will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with the latest EMUI skin on top.
The Honor 10 will launch globally in May, but the device will make its official debut in Honor’s home region later this week. At a recent press event for the U.K. launch of the Honor 7A and 7C, a spokesperson for the Chinese company said that the Honor 10 will be “the sexiest product ever”. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
