- OnePlus announced that it sold one million OnePlus 6 units around the world in 22 days.
- The phone is the fastest selling device in company history, beating out the OnePlus 5 and 5T.
- OnePlus launched the OnePlus 6 May 22 in China, India, North America, and Europe.
With OnePlus 6 sales off to a great start in India and China, OnePlus announced that it sold one million units of its latest flagship in 22 days.
By comparison, it took the OnePlus 5 and 5T three months to achieve the same milestone. This makes the OnePlus 6 the fastest selling device in the company’s history, a point made more evident by some of the phone’s variants constantly in and out of stock in the last few weeks.

OnePlus did not break down OnePlus 6 sales by country, though it noted that sales in North America rose 139 percent from 2016 to 2017. OnePlus also noted that it expects a similar pattern of growth in 2018 with the OnePlus 6.
When you compare OnePlus’ figures to those of Samsung, Xiaomi, and other Android manufacturers, they might not be that impressive. Still, one million units sold in less than a month is a great number for a company of OnePlus’ size.
It helps when your business model is all about offering as much bang for the buck as possible. The OnePlus 6 reads like your typical 2018 flagship: tall display with a notch, Snapdragon 845, dual primary cameras, and a glass and metal body.
The OnePlus 6 is all about value, however. $529 nets you 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while $579 nets you 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Finally, $629 gets you 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Those are the highest prices we have seen from a OnePlus smartphone, but they are still significantly cheaper than the likes of the LG G7 ThinQ and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. That value proposition, along with a clean Android build and a brand with increasing recognition, contribute to what makes the OnePlus 6 the most successful smartphone in the company’s history.
