- Realme just sent out invites for a two-day launch event in India, likely for the Realme 2 Pro.
- The invite does not explicitly state what the event is for but makes a not-too-subtle hint it’s for the Realme 2 Pro.
- The Realme 2 only launched a few weeks ago at the end of August.
We just received an invitation to a Realme launch event taking place over two days in India at the end of the month. While the invitation doesn’t explicitly state what the event is for, it’s hard to not notice that it’s likely for the Realme 2 Pro.
You can see the invite below:
As you can see, the red lettering of the invite image makes it pretty clear that a Realme 2 Pro will launch at this Indian event either on September 26 or September 27.
The Realme 2 Pro is likely a beefed-up version of the Realme 2, which launched in India at the end of August. The ultra-cheap Realme 2 is by no means a powerhouse, so it’s unlikely that the Realme 2 Pro will be a flagship device. Instead, it will likely be a Realme 2 but with a better chipset and some other tweaked specs.
If the invite looks familiar to you, you’re not alone: Realme (which is a sub-brand of Oppo) displayed a very similar image at its launch event for the Realme 2 in August:
Considering that the original Realme launched in May of this year, it seems that the company is intent on pushing as many releases as it can as quickly as possible. It’s unclear how that will pan out for the company in the long run, but so far the Realme 2 is selling very well, so who are we to question it?
