How much does the Fortnite Season 9 Battle Pass cost?

Like Season 8 and every season before that, the Fortnite Season 9 Battle Pass is expected to cost 950 V-bucks, or about $10.

The Season 8 Battle Pass was also available for free if players finished the Overtime Challenges at the end of the season, but this is not the case for Season 9. While Overtime Challenges are still around, a free Season 9 Battle Pass is not one of the rewards.

Fortnite Season 9 theme and map changes

Epic Games hasn’t released any concrete details about the theme of Season 9, but there are a number of rumors floating around. Most people speculate that it will have something to do with the future or aliens. This was partially confirmed by the first two teaser tweets.

Both relate to the future, with the background skins featuring a futuristic theme. There may have been a hint regarding the upcoming theme hidden within the vault unveiled during the Nexus event.

Most players were focusing on the large item-containing pillars, but the mysterious area also contained a desk with a strange helmet on it. This appears to match up with futuristic armor shown in the teaser tweets above. As more details arise, we’ll update this article with the latest.

At the end of Season 8, the volcano erupted, destroying most of Tilted Towers and part of Retail Row. Expect these popular areas to be revitalized at the start of the season.

As for the volcano itself, it could lead to new areas of the island appearing. The floating runes and underground vault from Season 8 have now served their purpose after unvaulting the Drum Gun, so expect a number of changes around Loot Lake.

We’ll update this article as more details are released, so stay tuned for more!
